Shooting USA/Guns & Ammo T.V.

How many here watch "Shooting USA", "Guns and Ammo TV", "Sighting In", etc? Also, Do you guys play in the "Gun of the month " contest? I've been entering in that contest for a couple years now. I think it's MY turn to win!

I killed my T.V. so i don't watch them at my house, but whenever i go over to my folks house, my dad has his TiVo packed with em and i watch some. There's some pretty good shows on that channel.
what is the gun of the week contest?

Solly cholly, no paid TV here. Now, cut all commercials, or go a la carte-then maybe I'd be all in.

They give away a Smith & Wesson gun every month. M&P .45, M&P 15 rifle, model 500, etc. etc. Don't know what your missing!

I actually just watched an episode I had recorded last night. It used to be called American Shooter, IIRC, and is now called Shooting USA, but is hosted by the same guy with his soothing voice. :bear_tongue: Last night covered a USPSA event, and then covered the guns used. Also showed how camo-shotguns are made (how they get the camo patter onto the gun), talked about the history of blackpowder and flintlocks all the way up to the modern cartridge. I have a couple more episodes recorded still along with American Rifleman; might start recording all the episodes. Sure gets you in the mood to get out and shoot.

I agree, commercials are for fools. That's where a DVR unit comes in. I still watch some TV, such as the above, but haven't watched a commercial in almost a year. Thirty-minute shows take about 22 minutes to watch, and hourlong shows take about 42 minutes...

Thats the neat thing about the outdoor channel. During the shooting type shows, most of the commercials are gun related. It's the only time I've seen S&W commercials, sure fire, crimson trace, etc.
